These eight paintings are just a few in a long line of paintings that my Mother Shirley Piazza had painted over the years. She started with drawing people and animals back in the 70s and
in the mid 80s she started painting in acrylic and oil. She was my inspiration when I got first place in 8 th grade for a water color still life painting. My Mother was in several art shows and I was always with her to support her. I setup her displays for all of her paintings. We usually
had 10 to 15 paintings on display. She won several prizes in those art shows. My Mother studied with well known artists in our area. She learned several painting styles and she aced each one. She was amazing with how quickly she could apply what she had learned. I can’t say how many paintings she had painted over the years, but that would be quite high. She was also known for painting Christmas decorations. I only have one of her Christmas decorations. I received the eight paintings I have now when my Mother passed away. She poured her soul into the paintings, so I want her legacy to live on.
